Psalm 140:5-7

New International Version

⁵ The arrogant have hidden a snare^(A) for me;
    they have spread out the cords of their net^(B)
    and have set traps^(C) for me along my path.

⁶ I say to the Lord, “You are my God.”^(D)
    Hear, Lord, my cry for mercy.^(E)
7 Sovereign Lord,^(F) my strong deliverer,
    you shield my head in the day of battle.
